Truth

“There is no god higher than truth”. ~Mahatma Gandhi
The truth is within each of, even if we don’t hear it. But when we listen, like a crisp, clear day, it refreshes us, wakes us up, and brings us into present reality. The truth supports us to live from integrity, compassion and wisdom.
We access our truth by trusting our instincts, sensing our intuition, and listening to our inner voice. These go beyond societal programming, family conditioning, and any beliefs we may have picked up along the way. Read the rest of this entry »

Silence
Posted on November 1st, 2012
“Silence is a source of great strength.” ~ Lao Tzu
Stepping into an inner sanctuary of silence supports you to find your Self. Daily distractions, noises and busyness cover up this blissful state of being and before you know it, you’ve forgotten who you are. It’s easy to get lost in activity and think you are the task, or the taskmaster.
Taking time each day to return to your essence where stillness and silence abide, restores clarity, balance, and inspiration. Inner silence is like a blank slate where all creativity begins. At first it may feel daunting, this empty space with no walls, floors, or ceiling; no structures or pathways to follow. But overtime, as you relax into the spaciousness, you sense the richness, knowing it is the place where all life emerges. It becomes the playground to create and manifest your heart’s desires. Source

The source of life is within each of us. Everything external emanates from our own spark of light. Our eyes may view us separate from everything in our lives, but this is just a mental perception. In reality we are connected through an invisible force - we are all threads in a magnificent weave we call the universe.
The source of love, abundance, and creativity are not outside of us. Remembering this truth empowers us to create our lives from higher states of consciousness rather than from lower limited conditioning and mental programming. Read the rest of this entry »

Feminine

“We are the yin and the yang of the creative process.” ~ Cynthia Weil
Soft, gentle, nurturing, surrendering to what is. This feminine essence flows throughout all life forms bringing balance to the active, energetic, masculine essence. Without this yin/yang balance life becomes either too slow and stagnant at one extreme, or over busy and pushy at the other.
Unfortunately our world has become masculine dominant over the centuries, denouncing the feminine as weak and passive. We’ve seen this displayed as aggression, manipulation and control in nations, governments, financial institutions, and corporations. But when we look closely, we see it in ourselves too. We catch ourselves pushing beyond our limits, driven to success, over busy with activities. We fear that if we slow down everything will fall apart. Read the rest of this entry »

Breathing

“Feelings come and go like clouds in a windy sky. Conscious breathing is my anchor.” ~Thich Nhat Hanh
Breathing in, breathing out. This is the natural rhythm of the endless flow of life. We breathe in oxygen to nourish the lungs and body, and we breathe out what is no longer needed. The same goes with anything in life.
The in-breath allows us to receive, the out-breath supports us to release. This ebb and flow is within all of life. If we try to hold on to the inflow we feel restricted and tight. If we push the outflow we move out of balance. Focusing on our breathing reminds us of this simplicity. Read the rest of this entry »

Innocence
Posted on May 2nd, 2012
“The silence often of pure innocence persuades when speaking fails.”
~ William Shakespeare
Innocence is the purity of being, the essence of who we are. We see this innocence in babies and young children, in our beloved pets, and in the eyes of the dying as they let go of this dimension and move onto the next.
Deep within us, our innocent nature waits to be acknowledged, to be accepted, and shine forth into the world. Like a crystal or diamond, it reflects who we are at the core of our being. When we open ourselves to it, nothing can cover its brilliance. The masks we wear, the roles we play, and the personas we don, all move into the background of our true light.
