Grace

“The mystic doesn’t seek to avoid a disagreement so much as to infuse it with grace.” ~ Marianne Williamson
When you have grace in your life you’re in a state of ease, serenity and acceptance. No matter what turmoil arises in your life, grace keeps you buoyant so you don’t drown in despair, fear or doubt.
Being in a state of grace requires moving into the present moment; a place where you can operate from your higher self rather than your ego mind. A place where you can watch your thoughts as they come and go and not get tied up in them.
When you know yourself beyond your thinking mind you fill with grace. Its lightness and love embrace you from within and without, making life easy and peaceful.
Without grace it’s easy to get caught in judgments, problems and reactions. Every issue appears bigger than it is and feels bigger than you. Stepping into grace reminds you that you are the spacious presence behind all circumstances and situations that float through your life.

I’ve been looking at the state of grace as something that will occasionally wash over me, that I become immersed in for a few moments, and that then fades, and over which I have little or no control. It sometimes is just a moment in which time and judgement cease, and everything hums together in a wash of peace. But perhaps I have more control over this than I thought. Perhaps it is a state I can summon as needed, or just when I want to. I always tend to think I must be in some quiet place where I can close my eyes and go deep in order to “find” that state. I have not tended to think that I can simply call it forth, or create it. Hmmmmmm…..I like this idea……

Hello Chris,
I find just saying the word “Grace” can take me into that state (unless I’m in a very opposite state at the time). It’s so interesting playing with energy and states of being and so empowering as we realize we can summon forth or move into whatever state we choose (as long as we’re willing to release the heavier states or stories we get caught in).
Thanks for your comment - take care,
Gini
