Centered in yourself, in your life, in your very being brings peace, balance, and clarity. Yet with so many external distractions, to-dos, and responsibilities it’s easy to get off center and lose your internal focus.

We lean sideways searching for answers and guidance from without, we topple over trying to please others, and we tumble down slippery slopes of pleasure and despair. Whenever we give our power away to something outside of ourselves, whether it’s pleasant or not, we risk losing our center and essentially losing ourselves. Read the rest of this entry »

Direction

“If we do not change our direction, we are likely to end up in the direction we are headed.” Chinese Proverb

Your destiny depends on the direction you set for yourself. If you consciously choose the path you want to follow, you’ll be less likely to give your power away to other people, situations and circumstances. And you’ll be more likely to rise above past conditioning and limiting beliefs.

We each have the ability to create a new reality for ourselves. One filled with an array of possibilities. When we listen to our heart and soul for direction, we enjoy every step of the journey. If we follow the lead of our logical mind, or worse yet, the logic of others, we risk getting sidetracked, stuck, or repeating old patterns.

We are the source of our joy and our sorrow, our ease and our struggle. It is up to us to determine what we want to experience and what direction will lead us there. Read the rest of this entry »

Intuition

Trusting intuition involves tuning out the external world and listening to internal cues; the gentle inner voice that reminds you to bring your umbrella even though the sun is shining; the goose bumps that quiver across your arms inviting you to pay close attention to the conversation; the image of a person that flashes through your mind just before they call on the phone. This is intuition in action.

Whenever we need to make a decision we can access intuition by centering within and listening to our inner voice, looking at the situation through spiritual eyes, or opening to our higher awareness. Each person has their favored way of intuiting situations, but all forms are available. Read the rest of this entry »
