Release

Releasing the past along with old stories, roles, stuck emotions and unhealthy patterns allows us to open a new space to create in. Releasing can be a gentle process, although it may not always feel that way at first. If we begrudge the past, or resist the emotions, they become sticky and stay in our consciousness. If we hold on tightly to the positive aspects, we prevent them from growing into something even better.

Being in a state of release supports us to flow with whatever is taking place in the present moment. The amazing thing about release is that we really only let go of what no longer serves us. Our authentic selves remain and shine forth even brighter. It’s as simple as taking off a piece of clothing you no longer need. You acknowledge its presence, take it off and put it down. For a moment you may feel naked until you put on another piece of clothing, but without that bare state you can’t move into something new. Read the rest of this entry »
